Process and Inspiration
Hi, I'm Sergio! I am a professional artist, graphic designer and illustrator. I love to make things with my hands. Along with paintings and drawings, I am enthusiastic in constructing objects like the Tower of Babel and other buildings. It's a very engaging process, this construction of small worlds, combination of various materials. I regard every object as having its own story, and when it’s a décor piece in your home there is always something special to it, like color or texture.
So, this is a studio where dreams and fantasies are depicted, and where you get acquainted with fairy-tales personae and adventurers.

Objects and Sculptures
The Tower of Babel is a mixed media sculpture, made of various found pieces including shells and polymer materials. I used layers of acrylic paint in colors of green, warm brown and bronze to create a weathered look in this construction. The effect paste adds distinct texture to this tower, reminiscent of the vines that take over the deserted walls. This sculpture gives an impression of an architectural object abandoned when it was still in the construction process. Then the passage of time did its work...
